EFFECT OF LEGISLATION IN NEIW ZEALAND. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright SYDNEY, January 12. Mr Beeby, State Minister for Education and Labour, who has just returned from a visit to New' Zealand, says he floes not agree with the statement that a couple of decades of labour legislation in New Zealand has left the worker ■whore ha was. He had no hesitation in denying that Labour had been the first to recognise the betterment arising from the legislation. It was a mere illusion to think that New Zealand had passed through depression during the last few years.
