POST OFFICE HOLIDAYS
On Monday, December 26th, and Monday; January 2nd, the days to be observed ad close holidays, for Christmas and New Year's Days, the Postal Department will bo Closed in ail its branches. Mails despatched J hv steamers will closo at 6.50 ajn., also moild by trains for tho Wairarapa, -Taranaki, Wanganui, Raußitikei. Manawatu and ■Hawke’s Bay Districts: also the Auckland district, per Main Trunk train, will closu , a t 6.30 a.m. There will not bo any clearances ot the city receivers or deliveries tby letter-carriers. but on Saturday. .December 24th and 3iet. there will bo full afternoon deliveries by the letter-carriers, closing at tho Omel Post Office at 1.43 p.m. On abovenamed Saturdays thcro will bo_ deliveries ; by the lotter-earriora at the Drill Shea •from 8.30 to 9.30 pan.; also deliveries over the public counter at the Chief Post Office from 850 to 9.30 p.m. of correspondence •addressed -to the Post Office only. On Tuesday December 27th, the day observed ne Boxing Day, the Postal Department will bo open in all its branches 'except tho Money-order and Savings-bank Department) from 9to ‘lO a.m. Malls despatched by steamers and mails for . tho Auckland district, per Main Trunk train, will closo at 9.15 a.m.; mails by trains for tho Wairarapa,' Taranaki, Wanganui, Eangitikei, Manawatu, and Hawke’s Bay, districts will closo at 6.30 a.m. The lettercarriers will make one full delivery, closing* at tho Chief Poet Office at 7 a.m.
