The most rimportamt sale of country land as to area and value made in. the Auckland district during the current year was completed on Monday "by Messrs T. Mandemo Jackson.’ The block sold is Mr T. C. Williams's Kaiparo. estate, known, as Okahukura. ,Tt consists of 23,839 acres,' "and is carrying" MOD sheep and 1700 head of cattle. The property is situated on the. Kaipara Harbour, being a peninsula opposite Kaipara Heads, hawing a water frontage' of nearly' sixty miles, whilo_a mile fence froin tide to tide encloses it. ■ The purchasers are (says"the “Herald") a wellknown Christchurch firm, who intend to thoroughly develop the property and Ultimately cut it up for sale. It may be two or three years before the estate is subdivided, os it will take time and at largo: expenditure to thoroughly bring the whole of the land into use, hut in the meantime dairying will. be carried, on, the new owners providing the nooee< sary stock, milking machines and sheds, erecting the factory, and making weeem, sary roads, etc.
