THE KNYVETT CASE
A reply has been received by. Captain Knyve'tt to bis appeal to the Minister of. Defence for-a re-trial-of his case, and a copy has been forwarded by -ex-Captain ICnyvett, now resident in Christchurch. to Mr J. S. Dickson, chairman. of the ICnyvett defence committee, Auckland. The letter, which is signed by Ccpt. D. C. Spencer-Smith, Koval Field Artillery, Stall Officer, is as follows;
* f l am desired by the commandant of the 2Cew Zealand defence forces to inform you that he has. received from the Right Honourable the -Minister of Defence your appeal .against .your' dismissal, and application for a court martial. He desires me to state that it shall receive his fullest consideration, and that a further communication will be made to you in duo course."
