BALLOTS FOR LAND
Two sections of land near the Mam Trunk railway were disposed of by ballot- by the Wellington Land Board yesterday. For a section of 79 acres of bush land at * Maungakaritu, sixteen' miles from Mataroa, there were thirtynine applicants, the f-uccessfuA. one being Mrs Grace VC. Anderson, of Hunterville. Ten people applied for a 1 section of 89acres of, partially improved land near Taihape, the ballot resulting in favour of George E. Gimlers, Taihape.
