Mr C. Harcourt Turner is gazetted Consular Agent of the United States of America at Wellington. Councillors Frost' and Smith, the City Council’s delegates to the coming conference of tramway authorities on the subject of the proposed Dominion tramway award, are to proceed to Auckland, in company with Mr Cable, assistant electrical engineer, for the pur. pose of acquainting themselves with tramway conditions there. A visit for the same purpose has already been paid to Christchurch. ,
