George Browse, an old man, was fined 10=, with, 6s costs, or seven days’ imprisonment, on a charge of stealing a cap, valned at 3s 6d, firom the shop of ' Alfred "Watkins, in. Tory street, on Monday lost. , Theft of bicycle. Charles Wilson and Ada Florence Wilson, alias Boyce, pleaded guilty to' stealing a gent’s bicycle, valued at 112, from Robert Edward 'Seville on October 24th. Chief-Detective Broberg stated -that Saville left the bicycle outside his shop and the two accused removed: it and sold it to a second-hand dealer for ,12!. There was a long list of previous convictions against each of the accused. A sentence of three months’ imprisonment was imposed in each ease. INDECENCY. A young man named William Boyle Greenaway was fined ,25, or one month'a imprisonment, on a charge of committing a grossly indecent act in the Basin Reserve, DRUNKENNESS. On a charge of drunkenness Alexander l Scrimgeour was convie.ted and discharged, , but on a charge of obtaining liquor during the currency of a prohibition older he was fined 40s or" seven days’ imprisonment.
