SPECIAL TO THE "TIMES.” MASTEHTON, October 24. 1 One of tho biggest public works iu Master-ton for some years will he commenced shortly, when two new, bridges will be erected over the Waipoua river, close to the town. The tender of Mr A. Haughey, of Mastcrton, at £5830. has just been accepted for the building of the bridges. Among the unsuccessful tenderers were Sykea and Shaw, of 1 Lower Hutt, who® price was £4174. The tender of Cullpty and Policy, ol ! Mastcrton, at £1092, has been accepted tor tho earthworks in. connection with the approaches.
