The new Tyscr steamer Indrabarah (from London) left Auckland at 11.15 a.m. yesterday for Napier and Wellington. She is duo here about Saturday next. The Putiki arrived at Westport at 6 p.m. on Sunday and sailed on the return trip to Wanganui at 4 p.m. yesterday. The Moa arrived at Greymouth at noon on Sunday and sailed at 11 a.m. yesterday for Wanganui.

The A. and A. Line chartered steamer Niwam (from New York) ia to leave Sydney to-morrow for Auckland. The vessel is now expected to roach Wellington about November sth.

' ; • The Wanaka, which left Limestone Island at,6 a.m. on Sunday for Wellington, has a quantity of cement to discharge at this port to-day. She is to get away to-night for Bluff.

The Rosamond, which left New Plymouth at 10.10 a.m. yesterday for Wellington, is to lay up at this port, and her crew will be paid off to-day. -

A Press Association message from Greymouth states that the Mapourika, when leaving that port on Friday, was swerved by the river current within 22ft of the Kini, not 2ft as previously telegraphed. • The auxiliary scow Echo arrived at Wellington yesterday morning with 80.000 ft of timber from Karamea. She berthed at the Clyde quay wharf. Captain Seeley reports that the vessel left Karamea at 2 p.m. on Thursday, and had strong head winds throughout the passage. Captain Seeley found 10ft of water on ■ the bar. Mr E. G. F. Zohrab, manager of the Wellington Harbour Ferries, returned from a visit to the Chatham Islands by the Ripple, which arrived at Lyttelton on Sunday. The framing is of pohutukawa and kauri, and the planking ia of selected heart of oak. There is a cabin to accommodate ten people, and the cargo capacity is about 160 tons.
