FRUITLESS POLICE EFFORTS.

PERTH, October 20.
The police continue their digging operations in the yard of the house occupied by a man named Smart, in search of the remains of the girl, Harris, who disappeared five months ago, just prior to the marriage of Smart, with whom she had been living. No further discoveries of human remains have been found.
