Mr L. C. Amery, in a letter to "The Times," says the census shows that the servants of tlie idle rich number about 200.000. Mr Lloyd George's estimate of 2,000,000 is presumably based on the number of males in the "unoccupied" class, computed in the census at just under 2,000,000. Mr Amery says Mr Lloyd George overlooks the trifling fact that this number includes boys over ten imd men past work.
