America, which sailed from Atlantic- City on Saturday with Mr Walter Weilraan, the Arctic explorer, and four companions on board, in an endeavour to fly across the Atlantic Ocean to Europe, was wrecked and abandoned ISO miles from laud, at a point cast of Cape Hatteras and half-way to Bermuda. The crew were picked up by the steamer Trent.
