Laracy, secretary to the New Zealand Shearers and Wool Shed Employees' Association of Workers, leaves on Monday for Otago and Soathlana, . \ Here he will address meetings of shearers and impress on them the necessity for refraining from entering into engagemente for next season until a settlement has been arrived at in respect to the rates for shearing, the conditions of labour and wages for shed hands. On his return he goes to the North Island on the same mission, and' on 'June 15th will hold a meeting at Gisborne for the purpose of forming a branch of the association in the northern industrial district. Afterwards he intends doing some organising work amongst the Maoris on behalf of the- associatioru
