Mackarness, ex-M.P. for Newbury, Berkshire, in which accusations were made against a section of the Indian police. The charges .include corruption and torturing of prisoners.

Mr llackarness states that his accusations arc based on the 1903 report of Lord Curzon, then Viceroy of India.
