Britain's action in withdrawing troops from the inland Somali stations to tho coast is being strongly criticised, especially as Colonel Sir William Manning, wiio took part in the .Somaliland campaign, admits the probability of severe internecine feuds, and emphasises that the friendly natives are -disorganised and weakened through listlessly relying on British protection.
