THE GOVERNOR
PEESS ASSOCIATION. EKBTAHUNA, April 21. Hia Excellency the Governor paid an official visftt to Ekeitohuna yesterday afternoon, and remained for the night. He was accompanied by the Hon. 1. Mackenzie and Mr A. W. Hogs, member for the district. There was an official reception in the main street on his Excellency's arrival, wlv;cli was largely attended. In the evening the Governor was entertained at a dinner. This morning; after inspecting the cadets and the school, his Excellency left at 10 o'clock Irv the north train. PAHIATIFA, April 21.
Ix>rd Plunket, accompanied by the Hon. T. Mackenzie, passed through Pahiatua this morning by train, en rente for Palmerston. He was met at the station by "the mayor, borough councillors, chairman of the county, and county councillors. An address on behalf of the residents of the borough and county was presented by the mayor. His Excellency briefly replied, and referred to the many happy days he had spent fishing in the district.
