ALMOST SENSATIONAL SHOOTING.

Some very remarkable scoring was chronicled at the Meeting of the Christchurch Gun Club held on Saturday; 26th March, 1910. The occasion was the first of a series of three Pigeon Matches for tile Silver Challenge Cup presented by the Colonial Ammunition Co., Ltd., the second of which is to be held in August, and the final in December. There was blowing what might be termed "a strong, honest, wind," and the light was what a shooting man calls " baffling." Besides the Challenge Cup, there were various Sweepstake Events. It was Mr Duncan Fraser, using "C.A.C." Ammunition—as he always does —who did such splendid work. He killed every bird he shot at: fifty in all; forty of them with first barrels. His best performance was, perhaps, in the List shoot, from thirty-three yards, when he brought down ten bird 3. all firsts. During the day, Mr Fraser fired from different limits, ranging from 29 to 33 yards. He, as scratch man, was placed at the former mark in the C.A.C. Cup Competition. Mr Fraser used "Favourite " Cartridges, loaded with the new Schultz Smokeless " Cube " Powder, and 6 and 6i shot. Mr AUen promising young shot, with great confidence and much like his father, Mr Duncan Fraser, for determination—also put up some eventful shooting. Not only did he get all his thirteen pigeons, from 21 yards, in the C.A.C. Cup Match.' but with such judgment did he shoot that he had only to ueo the second barrel for the last bird. Aggregating his results, Mr Allen Fraser killed forty birds out of forty-three for the day's work—pretty good shooting. Mr A.' Fraser used "Nonpareil" and No. S shot. .

The occasion. ! constituted a great triumph for C.A.C. Cartridges. All who used that make of ammunition did well —extraordinarily so. It proved indisputable that "C.A.C." could not only hold its own, but come out ahead of any band of cartridge in the market! _ *
