Eighty per cent, of the workmen in Krupp's Germania shipbuilding yard at Kiel have struck for a weekly halfholiday, and as a protest against the limitations of the Prussian Franchise Bill. Blany workers from other yards harvo joined them, and 10,000 men are now out. A violent collision occurred between the strikers and the police, and . the latter, becoming hard pressed, took refuge in shops, the windows of which wore smashed.

Ten demonstrators and several police were injured.
