WANGANUI WORKS FOR WEBB. WANGANUI, March 11. Hayward’s Picture Company, by arrangement' with Webb’s competition committee,' gave a vaudeville, entertainment in the Lyceum Theatre tonight, the funds to he devoted to furthering Webb’s candidature in the “Times" Great Voting Contest. ..At the interval Mayor Mackay, addressing the audience, appealed to them to work and invoke the assistance of their 1 friends in helping Webb, Wanganui’s candidate and favourite sportsman. The theatre was crowded to suffocation, and - the takings exceeded all expectations.
