FATALITY AT LOWER HUTT

YOUNG MAN HAS HIS NECK BROKEN. THROWN FROM A HORSE. An accident which had a fatal termination occurred yesterday afternoon at Lower Hutt. Richard Ray, aged twenty-two, was riding a horse at the back of the -racecourse on tho isandSfiills whon he wals thrown, and sustained serious injuries. Ray, 'who received the attention of Dr :Heotor as soon as aid could ho called, lingered until eigjht o'-clock last evening, when ho succumbed to Ms injuries—a broken neck. Tho dooeosed had no relatives in New Zealand. Ho was formerly a ship's steward, and came out to New Zealand about fifteen months ago. He Jiad .recently been in the employ of Mr, A. M. Samuel. An inquest is to bo held to-d'ay.
