WAIKANAE STOCK SALE.
Tho N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Co. report:—At Walkanas yesterday we had a heavy yarding'of sheep arid a good entry of cattle. Bidding was brisk and a votaJ clearance was made. Cull lambs 4s Id to 4s 4d, medium lamha 5s ICd, aged ewes 5s 9d. forward wethers 12s, A good line {mostly. four-year ewes) on account of 3Vtr H. S. Hadficld realised 14s Id. On iiccount of Mr R. W. Kelson a particularly good lot 'of Romney four-tooth ewes made 14s Bd, four-ycar-oJd ewes on behalf of the same vendor eslling at 14s. Aged rams 25s to 21 guineas, store cows 25s to £2, cows with calves £2 11s, 18-month steers £2 l€s, 2-year steers £2 19s 6d, 2 and steers £3 14s, forward heifers £3 10s.
