HOLY COMMUNION

RIGHT OF REFUSAL ANGLICAN CHURCH AND THE LAW OF MARRIAGE. By Telegraph —Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, February 8. The Primate of All England, tho Most Rev. R. T. Davidson, in a letter replying to an inquiry by Professor Inge, of Cambridge, controverts tho Erastian interpretations set up in the judgment of the Appeal Court in the deceased wife’s sister case against Canon Thompson, of Norwich Cathedral, in December last. He added: “Sir Lewis Dibdin' (from whose judgment tho appeal was made) said no word implying that the Churoh had lost tho essential right to determine the conditions of admission to Holy Communion. It rests with tho Bishop’s Court to excommunicate or not. The only question before Sir Leads Dibdin was as to. the validity of the incumbent’s repulsion on his own responsibility.”
