JUVENILE FLOWER SHOW
•WELLINGTON CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUREES.
The Wellington Christian Endeavour Union’s junior flower stow and display of work -wan opened in tie Skating Rink, Ingestre street, last night, by Mr j. G. ,W. Aitkan. The show was purely ia children's /me, and it was a pity a smaller hull was not procured, as the exhibits wore practically lost in tho huge space provided. Tho Central Mission band gave la special programme of music. The proceeds are in aid of the Union funds and foreign missions. The exhibition will bo open again this afternoon and evening, and to-morrow night. The following prizes were awarded: Bouquets—S. F. Williams, Ohiro, 1; Gertie Warren, Vivian, street, 2. Cut Flowers—Jennie Ethel Wilson, Berhampore, 1; Winnie 'Grindrod, 2. • Sweet Peas—Willie McMillan, St. James,- 1; Bougies Slater, Bt. James, 2; Louisa Chappell, St. James, h.c.
Lady’s Spray—Mavis Castle, Newtown Trinity, 1; Alf. Williams, Eerhamporo, 2; W. Williams, h.o. Gentleman's 'Buttonhole—William' Shirer, St. James, 1; Edith Wilson, Vivian street, 3. ;
Pelargoniums—Elizabeth. Shirer, St. James, 1; Mavis Castle, Newtown Trinity. 2. ’■
