Discussing naval matters, the "Daily Mail" says that the policy of Sir Arthur Wilson ■ differs from that of Sir John Fisher, whom he succeeds as First Sea Lord of the Admiralty, in that he is convinced that the need of the Navy is not so much Dreadnoughts as armoured cruisers. He is also indisposed to contiuue wholesale " scrapping." Sir John Fisher bequeathed a programme for the coming year including only four Dreadnoughts. The "Daily Mail" adds that at the end of 1912 Britain will possess vessels of the Dreadnought and preDreadnought types as follow in comparison with those of Germany: "Britain. Germany.
