MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL
The Maltara County Council met yesterday. The chairman, Sir F. T. Moore, presided, the other members present being Councillors J. H. Haggerty, S. Bryant, H. Eastwood, U. Mbnh and F. H. Hawkins. Three tenders, ranging from £l2B 10s to £55, w'efe received for the creotion of a public pound, that of Roberts' and Taylor, ■ tho lowest, being accepted. , It- was-, decided to accept dedication of a i recently completed rood on tlia Cashmere estate. - - Pormiasicar was granted the Tawa Jlnnd Co., Ltd., to. erect-two owing gates, on certain roads in the Tawa Flat 'district. "Mr F. T- Moore was appointed to represent the council at tie election of the Wellington Harbour Board. _ . Re-forming work is to bo carried Out on the Titahi Bay road. An export licence for slaughtering pigs was granted Messrs W. Dimock and Co. for their slaughtering works at Xgaliauranga. Accounts amounting to £l9B 9.3 lid ■were passed for payment.' . .
