FP.031 OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT. MASTERTON. December 8. In connection with the forthcoming show of tho Ekctahuna branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Union the following stewards liavo been appointed:— Pot plants and cut flowers, Mesdames fO. Tomlinson and T. Moss; fruit, F. C. Tumor and H. W. Bridge; vegetables. Messrs H. Sfharcnwcber and J. Carter; industries, Messrs P. Hickman, F. Dowsett, T. F. Carter, and F. Hudson ; farm produce, Messrs J. Scott and B. -Morris; ring stewards, Messrs Mathesou, Cittadine, Morris, and Bridge; outside stewards, Messrs Mass, Ball, and Carton; hall steward, Mr W. B. Mathesou.
Dairv companies in various parts of tho Wairarapa and Forty-mile Bush districts are complaining that the new railway time-tablo is seriously interfex in"- with the deli von' of cream by rail from tho creameries to tho principal factory. As an instance one may cite tho position of tho New Zealand Dairv Union. Previous to tho coming into'forco of tho new time-table the New Zealand Dairy Union received cream from its various creameries between Woodville and Ekctahuna by the midday train and the company were able to manufacture tho cream into but. tor at their factory at Ekctahuna the sTme dav. Under the altered service, however' the cream cannot arrive m Kkltlhuna till 8.35 o'clock in the erennt Tho Dairv Union has written to £0" department" asking.that pro™ he made on the train arriving m.EketahunTat 245 p.m. for the carriage of cream.
