RESENTED BY MANY LEADING AUTHORS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received December 6, 10.50 p.m.) LONDON, December 6. The decision of tho Circulating Libraries' Association not to circulate scandalous, libellous, or immoral books, arid those likely to prove offensive to any considerable section of suibßcribers, owing to customers' complaints alx>ut the recent increase in tho output of doubtful books, is vigorously resented. Among those who have entered their protest arc Mr H. G. "Wells, Mr John Galsworthy, Mr William John Locka, Mr Jerome K. Jerome, Mr Eden Fbilpotts, Lucas Malet (Ill's Mary St. Leger Harrison), Mr William Friend de Morgan, and their resentment is based on the ground that it will hamper discussion of urgent social problems.
