STRONG ATTRACTIONS FOR THE AMERICANS. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright. (Received November 1, 10.35 p.m.) ; OTTAWA, November 1. • For the first half of the now fiscal year immigration into Canada totalled 120,933. persons, including 56,486 Americans. Mr W. J. Bryan, the Democratic candidate for the Presidency last year, speaking at Winnipeg, said Canada was the only country in the world able to draw Americans from the United States and keep them. Ho saw no objection to Americans becoming naturalised Canadians.
