WAIHI EXTENDED MINES

IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENTS. PB3SB ASSOCIATION. WAIHI, November 1. Tho new reef recently intersected in tho south-east crosscut of No. 5 level in tho Waihi Extended mine appears to bo a cross lode connectang the No. 2 lode with the No. 1 or mum Martha lode. A crosscut at right angles tothe lodo is now proceeding, to prove its width, and has already penetrated for 15 feet of Idghly mineralised ore, and there is yet no sign of tho wall. This is the most important development ..that has occurred in the Extended, and the fact of this lodo being cut at the 1000-foot level and well- to the eastward of any workings on tho field promisee well for tho future of this and the adjoining property, the Consolidated.
