FREEDOM LEAGUE PROMISES STRONGER MEASURES. LONDON, October 29. Tho Suffragettes state that the fluid used in the attempt to destroy voting papers at Bermondsey was an alkaline solution of pyrogallol, not a corrosive. 1 The Women’s Freedom League has withdrawn the pickets from the House of Commons, and has written to Mr Asquith stating that the time has arrived to take stronger methods.
