The alleged absence of secrecy in connection with the ballot for election of the first council of tho Incorporated Society of Accountants was brought bofore the notice of Parliament yesterday Ijv Mr A. Tho council wa.s not a public body. The Prime Minister (Sir Joseph. Ward) r-roniised to look into tho matter. No provision had been made for taking tho : i by ballot, and ho had no control over the hoard, which had been legally a,ivis<_d that it had no power to conduct the Jlc-'tiou by ballot.
