The Defence Department issues a warning that two small barrel targets arc moored, six hundred yards off NgahaiUr ranga, and will bo used as artillery targets till next Saturday. On Thursday the schooner Clyde sailed from' Greymouth with a cargo of timber for Wellington. Captam C. Clift took command of the Warrimoo at Wellington yesterday, in place of Captain Neville, who went South by the Waikare. The Adelaide Steamship Company's cargo steamer Junce, laden with' jarrah timber from Western Australia, is expected to leave Melbourne, alter replenishing bunkers, about Monday next for Wellington. A number of suggested improvememta to the new Otago dock have oeen made to the Dock Trust by Captain McDongall, marine superintendent (for the Sonith Island) for the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company. THE KOROMIKO FROM NEWCASTLE An early arrival at Wellington, yesterday morning was the Union Company's turret-deck cargo boat Koromiko, from Newcastle. Alter medical inspection, the vessel berthed at the Railway wharf to discharge part cargo of coal and timber, the remainder being for Lytteiton and Timaru. ' The Koromiko sailed from Newcastle at 5.30 p.m. yesterday week, and experienced moderate winds and seas and fine -weather. The vessel is to get away on Monday or, Tuesday for Lytteiton. NIWARU DUE TO-I>AY. Yesterday afternoon, at 1.15 o'clock, the Tvsor liner Niwa.ru (from London) loft Napier for Wellington. She is duo here early this morning, and will berth at No U, Jcrvois Quay. On completion of discharge, the Niwaru will go back to Napier for homeward loading. TUTANEKAI RE-COMMISSIONED. The. Government steamer Tutanekai was re-commissioned at Wellington yesterday, and will sail at 10 o'clock this morning for Picton, with members of Parliament, to attend the Marlborough jubileo celebrations.
