It was decided to place on record the centre's heartv auoreoiation of the .service-; rendered" to"'the centre hy Mr .1. If. I'ollock who. by his -lection In the New Zealand Council, severs his connection svitli the centre. Thanks for past services were also expressed towards T)r A. K. Newman and A. Dnvics. The UrooklVn , Harriers, Manawatu Club, and Napier Club, worn nfnli.aU.l to the centre. Provisional affiliation was granted to the New Plymouth Club. Tho Victoria College Chili was granted permission to hold a sports meeting on "March 12t.1i. ' 1910. Tho Port. Nicholson flub were granted permission for » meeting in February (probably the 'Jfith), and the Athletic Football Club Sports Club for an evening meeting ou November 2-lth.

A 1 deputation from tho Wellington Amateur Athletics Association waited upon the Reserves Committee of the Citv Council vesterdav and asked that tho south-west corner of the. Basin Reserve—which is no'.v sot apart for the uso of women and children—.should he thrown open to athletes for training purposes, in the evening. The deputation also asked permission to dig a jumping pit in the enclosure. Tho committee was nsketl to grant the use. of tho Basin Reserve for tho following dates:—January Ist, Provincial Championships: January 29th, Civil Service Club's Sports, and .1 day cuoh for. tho Victoria College Snorts, and the! Port Nicholson Club's meeting.— 'Hio committee promised th«-deputa-tion that tho requests would receive due consideration.
