When piny was resumed at Bristol this morning in the match Australia v. Gloucester, the weather was dull, and there was a small attendance. The wicket was fast. The first wicket fell for 13, and the second for 58, Langdon being responsible for most of the runs. Sewell was cleverly taken at short-leg by Bardsley. Langdon was two hours in compiling. 55, and Parker batted solidly for an hour.

Langdon, who showed faultless allround play, with fine driving, eventually played Noble on. The seventh wicket fell for 132, but Parker and Langdon fetched the second century on the board before their partnership was dissolved.
