APPEAL FOR A FLAG THE DEPORTATION OF POLITICAL OFFENDERS. DISCUSSION REFUSED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received May 19, 9.5 p.m.) LONDON, May 19. Lord Ampthill, who in 1901 acted as Viceroy of India during Lord Curzon’s absence in England, writing to “ The Times,” pleads for a distinctive flag for India. In the House of Commons yesterday the Speaker refused to allow Mr Kcir Hardio to move the adjournnncilt of the House to consider the question of the deportation of persons convicted of political offences in India. Mr Asquith, Prime Minister, in objecting to the • adjournment, emphasised the fact that tho subject had been fully discussed during the debate on the Address-in-Reply.
