Playing against Huddersfield, the New South Wales League team (professional) was defeated by a goal and a try (5 points) to a try (3 points). ' The attendance was estimated at ten thousand. Messenger did not play. Huddersfield pressed during the first half, scoring a try and a brilliant goal from a penalty half-way down the line. On resuming after half-time Huddersfield had the best of the game 'until near the close, when Bolerosld secured a try, which Hedley failed to convert.
