Thoy have imported sheep from ICont, bat are anxious to secure Homo of tho New Zealand type, in a communication with Mr X). Evans, tho otlicor in charge of tho Kuakaaru ExJicriiuent flocks, and formerly in charge of slit-op experimental. work at two ox tho biggest American experiment stations, a member of the firm expressed his clcslro to secure some sheep from the Rarorangi Hock of Mr R. Short. It is not ■unlikely that a member of the firm will visit tho Dominion in tho near future to secure a string of -Romneys. Recently there was published in these columns particulars of the steps necessary to 1)0 taken before sheep can bo admitted from tills country into North America, information the Riddell's secured in view of their importing New Zealand sheep. /
