CITY POLICE COURT
MONDAY, DECEMBER 28.
(Before Messrs A. B. Hislop, IV. McAlpine, and W. Hildreth, J.IVs.) ‘ A DEFAULTING BLUEJACKET. James Stanley Gibbon, a seaman belonging to H.iu.S. Pegasus, was charged with haring broken out of his ship. He entered a plea of guilty, and was committed to the Wellington Prison. to be handed over to the naval authorities at tho first opportunity. A LOADED REVOLVER. ‘ Albert Rau was charged with being an idle and disorderly person, having been found by night with a loaded revolver in his possession. Ho was remanded until January 4th. AN UNDESIRABLE CHARACTER. Johrf Ricketts was charged with being an idle and disorderly person, having been found by night without lawful excuse on private premises in Mulgrave street. Their Worships entered a conviction, and discharged the accused. The same accused, on a charge of using obscene language in a public street, was lined £l, in default seven days’ imprisonment. DRUNKENNESS. James Grant and John Shannon, tho latter of whom had considerable previous experience of the Court, were each convicted and discharged for insobriety.
