1 CONGRATULATIONS FROM LABOUR. (Special to tbo "N.Z. Times.") CHRISTCHURCH, November 37. At.Ai meeting of the Political Labour League correspondence woa received from Mr D. McLaren, M.P., relating to the election contest. On the motion of Mr J. Thorn it was unanimously resolved, "That this meeting of tho Christchurch branch of the Political Labour League and friends sends its heartiest congratulations to Mr David McLaren, M.P. for 'Wellington Bast, on his great victory for tho forces of independent Laboift in Now Zealand. This meeting further expresses its feeling of pleasure at tho sensible action of tho workers of that constituency in deciding to bo represented by a man of their own class, seeing in this determination the only hopo for n virile and intelligent democracy in New Zealand."
