IS BOXING BRUTAL?
(To tho Editor “N.Z. Times.”) Sir,—l don’t seem to have made myself quite clear to your reporter. What I want to say is—that scientific boxing, as exemplified in the Burns-Squires match, is not brutal. It was a magnificent display of courage, .skill, and strength which should compel the admiration of every healthy man. The unskilful boxing we too often see appeals to a section only.— I. am, etc., J. DOYLE.
