EMPIRE POSTAL MATCH, The annual match between the pest offlooa from all parts of tho British Binpira will bo fired on Wednesday, oacli team commencing at 2 p.m. This match waa first fired In September. 1906. when toama from London. Sydney, .Melbourne •indVr'olUngton took part, Melbourne finishing on top with a score of 691, Sydney, Loudon, and "Wellington coming next in that order. In September, 1907, the above toama also competed, finishing in tho following order.-—Sydney 900, Melbourne 890, Wellington MS, and London 936. Thia year, in addition to the above toama. it la ox pec tod that Canada, Capo Colony, Natal, South Australia, and Transvaal will also bo represented. In future tho match will bo fired annually, when it la hoped that every colony will bo represented. As soon na the match la finished each participating team la advised by cable of tho score tmulo. Tho conditions are;—Team to consist of ten men (all to count), two eightera a.nd seven shots at WO. sfO, and KX) yards at Bislcy targets. Tlio IVcllmeion team will be chosen from tho following Captain Hnrton, Lteutenaut Collins, Lieutenant Tlolton, Sergeant TfnkcHn, Sergeant Engles. Sergeant Gilbert, Corporal H, D. Smith. Corporal Williamson, Private Churches. Private ITa-mil-lon. Private Jones. Private W. A. Smith. Captain Turner will superintend at the firing point, and Sergeant-Major Rose in the trench.
