Firstclass certificated engine driver who is the holder of a certificate of competency or service (who may be required to do other work than getting and cutting his firewood for his own boiler, firing his boiler,,, and keeping engine and boiler in good order), 10s. Second-class engine driver, who may ho required to; work as above, 9s. Hauling engine driver under 20 years of age, 6s. Properly qualified drivers of locomotives wfiilst employed in driving, 10s. Bushmen, sboemen. and stokers, 9s. Second-class bushmen or trackers, Ba. Log-trolley men, 9s. Tim-ber-trolley men, Bs. Tramway men, Bs. Unskilled labourers, such as elab-men, assistant benchmen, and yard workers, Bs. Boys 16 yoars of age, 4« 6d. An advance of Is per day to ba made for every year over IS, until his wages shall reach 8a per day. Yardmen, Alt) 10s per calendar month. The yardman to be the man who is in charge of the yard; only one such tc be recognised fn each yard. Bullock drivers. .-£*lo per calendar month. In the ease of the two last mentioned workers no deduction is to be made from the montly wage, save for time lost through the worker’s own fault. In all other cases tho worker is entitled to be paid only for time actually worked by him.
