NEW STEAM SERVICE
BETWEEN CANADA AND PRANCE. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright (Received April 5, 4.4 p.m.) OTTAWA, April 4. Mr L. P. Brodeur, the Minister of Marine, stated in the Dominion House of Commons that tho Allan line has undertaken to run a direct steam service between Canada and France. Eighteen round trips have been arranged for a subsidy of a hundred thousand dollars-
Tho amount of subsidy is to bo doubled if tho trade under the new French treaty warrants it.
