MORE TROUBLE IN WESTLAND. PRESS ASSOCIATION, WESTPORT, April 4. Thirteen carpenters employed at the Westport-Stockton Coal Company’s construction works, Ngaksuwaii, have demanded an increase of wages from eleven to twelve shillings per day. The request was not granted, and. the men struck. Three returned, but the others remain out. Stockton is a new company, which has not yet reached tho coal output stage. There is no labour union there.
