A DREDGE RUN DOWN

ACCIDENT ON THE BRISBANE RIVER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received February 24, 10.9 p.m.) BRISBANE, February 24. The steamer Bombala collided with the steam dredge Dolphin at Pinkenba, down the Brisbane river. The dredge went down how foremost, but the crew were rescued. The Bombala was badly dented on the starboard bow, near the waterline.

The Bombala is a steel screw steamer of 3540 tons, built at Sunderland by Sir James Laing and Sons Limited, and is owned by Howard, Smith and Oo„ Ltd.
