Tho meeting of the School Commissionors yesterday was attended by Messrs J. R. Blair (in the chair), A. W. Hogg, and P. Y. Lethbridge, M.P.'e. The Commissioners confirmed the spocial resolution passed at lost meeting reducing the rent of section 4, block VII.’ Mataroa, to £5 per annum. It was decided that the Commissioners could not entertain the proposal of Mr W. Symes. M.P., that Mr P. S. Smith should be allowed to purchase the freehold of section 12, 22, Omahine. The chairman reported that the Crown Lauds Ranger had recommended 5s per acre per annnm os a fair rental to charge for sections 123, blocks VII. and VIII., Wangaehu, for a period of six months! and that W. Galpin had been offered and had accepted an extension of his tenancy for six months at that rental.— Tliis action was confirmed.

Tho chairman and Mr J. Sfcrauolion were appointed a sub-committee to accept a tender for the subdivisional surveys of sections in Puketoi and Mangapakoha.

Mr Hogg, M.P., submitted an application from the Masterton County Council for a slight deviation of the road leading from the To Ore Ore road to the Master" ton Hospital.—lt was resolved to allow the comer to be dedicated as desired the County Council to bear all the expense.
