NURSING THE SICK POOR.
The nonthly meeting of the committee of St. John Ambulance Association . District Nursing Guild was held yesterday afternoon. Mrs S. A. Rhodes (Honorary Associate of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem) presided, and there were also present Mrs W. B. Trine, Mrs W. H. S. Moorlicnse, Mrs’J. P. Duke, Mrs H. W. Preston, and Mrs V*. B, Fisher (hon. secretary). The report submitted for November shewed that Nurses Sexton and Maca,i drew paid 800 visits to the sick poor during the month, 13 additional patients had been entered on the register, and 9 discharged. Seven people incapacitated for work had been attended at the office daily, and four twice a day. Among the cases treated ■were patients suffering from ca us:io poisoned arms, abscesses on head, neck, and legs, dropsy, heart disease, gastritis, lumbago, burnt hand, ulcerated legs, confinement, general debility, etc. One death occurred.

Gifts of clothing, etc., had been received from Mesdames Rhodes, Maclean, MoMorran, Myers, Moorhouse, Luke, Chambers, Collins, Grander, Watson, Erwin, Preston, Bell, Waters, Kerr, Still, Hoare, Johnston, Gear Company, Sister Lillian, and tho Girls’ Realm Guild.
