Stolypin’a justification of the Government in the Duma, M. Rodichcff, a member of the Cadet party, declared that the hangman's ncoso would henceforth bo known as “Stolypin’s neckerchief. 5 ’ Members of the Right (Government party) rushed the tribune, and attempted to assault RodichefL The Left (Opposition) made a coun-ter-rush and rescued him. The .sitting was thereupon suspended. A MEMBER'S REGRETS. THE WHOLE HOUSE CHEERS T HE PREMIER.

M. Roclicheff has explained to M. Stolypin that his remark was not intended to bo personal, and ho expressed" tho hope that the member; of the Duma would believe in tho sincevty of his regret at the incident. Tho Premier replied: I forgive'you
At M. Homsakoff’s instance M. Rodi choff was excluded from the Chamber for a fortnight, only ninety-six of the Left opposing this resolution. The whole House, including the majority of the Cadets, cheered M. Stolypin during the sitting Tho extreme Right promised to sunport the new regime and lespect the Duma.
