The beef market is steady, with a moderate demand, especially tor lorequartors, which arc quoted at 2sd per lb: hindquarters average hid per lb. Tho butter market is very firm, with u good demand. No immediate change in prices is anticipated. Choicest New Zealand brands are quoted at Jdfcs; Argentine, llt>s; Australian, 110 s; Siberian, lilts; and Danish, 123 s per cwt. The hemp market is dull. Transactions aro light at last quotation©- There [a a better demand for hemp on spot.
