BALLOON ASCENT.

On Saturday next the public will have an opportunity of witnessing the flight of a large balloon at Day’s Bay. jProfcesor Barnes, who will make the ascent, has had < considerable ciporicnce.ae an aeronaut, haring made successful ascents in America, England, Prance, and Germany. In Auckland the professor made successful double ascents last Saturday. The ferry steamers will run special excursions to and from Day’s Bay to connection with tho event.
